Hi! My name is Laurie Rees; born and bred in Barrow-in-Furness, though I have lived in many places.

Fourteen months ago, I picked up a paintbrush again for the first time in over twenty years. I hadn’t done any painting since completing ‘A’ Level Art at Sixth Form College in the late nineties!

Since then my creative expression has been limited to chief, family, fancy-dress outfit maker and face-painter, but I am getting acquainted with my tools anew and loving every minute.

Last September, I exhibited a piece of work for the first time (bottom left) and was thrilled to have it sell. 

 

It has been a life-long dream to produce something that somebody would want to display in their home.

I paint because it brightens up my life!
