Exhibitions

Due to Covid-19, Ulverston Society of Artists has had to change a number of venues for exhibitions and meetings. This is out of the society's control. The information below may be subject to change but is as accurate as can be. We still uphold the ethos that each year we strive to increase the awareness of the society but more importantly show off the fantastic quality and diversity of our artists. The following gives you an idea of what to expect from each exhibition.

Library showcase (Spring and autumn)

The Library showcase is a mini pop up event situated in the Library, Ulverston next to the bus station. It is a two week event and although not an "official" Ulverston Society of Artists exhibition, it gives our artists a chance to exhibit smaller work in this cosy little venue. A browser bursting at the seams with mounted prints and originals can be perused and our 4 boards back and front are hung with miniature works that are affordable for everyone.

This takes place in the Spring (April) and Autumn (September/October). For more information please get in touch.

The Malt kiln (Christmas arts and crafts 2022)

After our Christmas arts and crafts show (2022), we are running it once again on the run up to this Christmas for the 3rd year, at the Malt Kiln which is located in Bardsea, just outside of Ulverston on the Coastal Route to Barrow-in-Furness. It has great views of Morecambe bay, with nice long stretches of sandy beaches, an old wood (Sea Wood) and Birkrigg Common near by. We had a summer exhibition last year too in August and this will be planned again for this time which are just as successful as the Christmas ones.

The Malt Kiln is also where we have our regular monthly meetings and is the perfect place to hold an exhibition. It has plenty of space for work to be exhibited and with the recent exhibition we also invited crafts by both Bardsea art group, Barrow Society of Artists and Ulverston's members. It has a tea room which seats 4 tables and usually home made cakes are available, made by our very own artists.
